Anti-fascists have been around as dipshit said earlier, “a hundred years”.. right before the 2nd world war broke out. Antifaschistische Aktion formed in response to the rise of the Nazi Party. Antifascists back in the day took action in various ways, from sabotage to feeding the hungry, to propaganda, to assassinations and strikes. You name it, they did it. Were they organized? To a degree, as much as you can organize under a fascist regime I suppose. As in any war, you do what you have to, how you can, to the best of your ability.
“Antifa” (sub note, I really hate that abbreviation to be honest) never really went away. Antifascists are still around today, although they’re/we’re getting a lot more credit than what is really deserved. The Trump Regime has recently declared antifascists as extremists/terrorists blah blah blah. Just like his last term where he declared antifascists an enemy of the state. He held an “antifa roundtable” today where dipshits like A*dy Ng* whined about getting their ass beat years ago or what’s their face who got smacked in the head with a flagpole.
The whole televised meeting was just one giant circle jerk of propaganda. They even claimed that antifascists have increased the assaults against ICE agents by 1000%, which while there has been a huge increase of people fighting back instead of just accepting the violence, detainment and (sometimes illegal) deportation, the majority of those incidents are by the poor people being arrested, not some masked antifa agent (lol) dressed all in black.
They claim that there’s a huge, funded organization that coordinates all of this “violence”, and in the same breath say that antifascists are disorganized and decentralized. Do you know why leftists (or antifa) never get anything done? We’re too busy arguing with each other. The whole point of this televised crapshoot was to instill fear in not only their base, but everyone else. The seed needed to be planted that big bad antifascists were going to destroy the country.
Most people who paid attention in high school history class know the reasoning why, but just in case, I want to clarify that for everyone. Because they’re not just after someone who burns a flag, or my stupid ass with my knitting and miniature library. They are clearing the way to get rid of opposition. The best example was claiming two right wing nutjobs were actually antifa or claiming the immigrants who fought back while being detained were antifa. Anyone who opposes them loud enough, gets in their way, or betrays the regime, will suddenly be antifa. It’s going to get worse, and fast.
Not to mention, the giant mother fucking elephant in the room: WHAT IS ANTI-ANTIFA? Anti-Anti-Fascist = Fascist. They’re literally just saying the quiet part out loud now, and his followers just eat that up. He could literally write “I’m a fascist” and sign his name, and they’d still deny it and then line up to fellate him. While some republicans are waking up and starting to question everything, the vast majority are still MAGA or bust.
It doesn’t matter that they’ve moved past dehumanizing migrants, concentration camps, and deporting people without due process. Nope, Republicans are just accepting that people literally fighting against fascism, immigrants, anyone of a vaguely leftist flavor should be arrested and “completely destroyed”. They’ve shit on the constitution and then set it on fire. Alas, it won’t be just Trump’s opposition disappearing into prisons or getting deported, we’ll all be waiting when it’s their turn.
